Kate O’Neill is helping humanity prepare for an increasingly tech-driven future by teaching business how to make technology that's better for humans. She's an executive consultant, keynote speaker, author, and "tech humanist" who advises corporate and cultural leaders — whether one-on-one, in board rooms, or in convention centers — on how to take a human-centric approach to digital transformation.
Previously, Kate was founder and CEO of [meta]marketer, a first-of-its-kind analytics and strategy agency. She also created the first content management role at Netflix, led cutting-edge online optimization work at Magazines.com, developed Toshiba America's first intranet, built the first departmental website at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and has held leadership and advisory positions in a variety of digital content and technology startups.
Kate now lives in New York City, where she writes prolifically and contributes to numerous outlets on an eclectic array of topics, but her primary focus as both a writer and speaker is on the future of meaningful human experiences. Her latest book, Pixels and Place: Connecting Human Experience Across Physical and Digital Spaces, launched in late 2016, and a book on automation and meaningful experiences is due out in 2018.
